The Hard of Hearing Program Team travels throughout the State of Arizona providing outreach and education to consumers and professionals. From cradle to grave, we assist the hard of hearing community and their families, educators, co-workers, and other professionals. We frequently share information and resources with and about the hard of hearing person.  We are available to meet with clients via Zoom, with advance notice.

Our Hearing Healthcare Program Manager, Michele Michaels, is hard of hearing and has been working in the hearing loss field since 1993. The Hard of Hearing Program includes hearing healthcare, the free telephone program AZTEDP, the Arizona Relay Service (AZRS), and hard of hearing programs and services. Michele provides guidance and information to other government agencies, corporations, non-profits, and the religious community. Contact Michele today for information and to schedule a presentation to your group: M.Michaels@acdhh.az.gov.

Vicki Thompson also works in the Hard of Hearing Program as the AZTEDP Program Planner providing people with information related to the free telephone program as well as AZRS, and provides AzTEDP and AZRS presentations to consumers and professionals throughout Arizona. The free phone program has lots of great no-cost devices for the Deaf, hard of hearing, DeafBlind, persons with Combined Vision and Hearing Loss (CVHL), and people with speech-impairment.
