Just announced:

Relay Conference Captioning (RCC) hours of operation have been expanded for Arizonans. You may now utilize RCC for teleconference calls during these new hours:

M-F 8a-9p and Sat 8a-2p

RCC is a free service provided by ACDHH/AZRS for multi-party teleconference calls where one or more Arizonans on the call needs captions due to hearing loss. More info here.  RCC is not to be used in place of a CART captioner. RCC must be requested 48 hours in advance of the teleconference. RCC is not for 1:1 phone calls. For 1:1 phone calls, please use captioned phones or captioned apps.

Overview

WHAT IS TRS?

Telecommunications Relay Service, TRS, is a federally-mandated service, and some TRS calls [calls placed over landlines] are administered by ACDHH and provided by the Arizona Relay Services, AZRS.  Here is an explanation of the different types of TRS calls.

Making a call through AZRS is as easy as 1, 2, 3!

Every time you use AZRS, simply remember these three steps:

1. Call the AZRS number of the service you seek
2. Give the Communication Assistant the number you wish to call
3. Wait for the Communication Assistant to connect your call

Yep, it's that simple! You can access the AZRS through a toll-free number. For detailed instructions, and a complete list of Arizona Relay Service phone numbers, email aztedp@acdhh.az.gov.
