For more information visit our website at: www.ccs-soaz.org https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fqDUVvS4X0djzbBdMjIVaJqdAn3ADa3a/view?usp=sharing Position: Support Service Provider I / Case Worker I On-Call Location: Albuquerque, NM Position Purpose The Support Service Provider I / Case Worker I On-Call provides essential supports to individuals who are deafblind, deaf/hard of hearing with a significant disability, or deaf/hard of hearing seniors that enhance independence in and access to the community. Relays visual and environmental information not accessible to the individual. Provides travel supports such as human guide support and transportation that allows safe access to the community. May drive agency, agency rented, and or personal vehicle on company business. Position may from time to time be stressful and require a high demand of performance. May perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications of the Support Service Provider I / Case Worker I On-Call High School Diploma / GED Proven ability to lift 35 lbs 15% of the time At least 18 years of age Basic computer and typing skills Valid Driver License from New Mexico, proof of insurance, and Motor Vehicle Division Motor Vehicle Report for New Mexico Desired Qualifications of the Support Service Provider I / Case Worker I On-Call Prior experience in providing services and support to individuals are deaf, hard of hearing, or deafblind Prior experience in providing services and supports to individuals with disabilities Familiar with the use of assistive technology (AT), assistive listening and/or other technologies to support individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, deafblind, blind, or low vision Knowledge of uncontracted Braille Knowledge of contracted Braille Ability to communicate in American Sign Language (ASL) Ability to use the communication systems preferred by individuals who are deafblind (e.g., ASL, Signed English, Spoken English, writing, large print, and/or Braille) Ability to communicate in Signed English Ability to communicate in Tactile ASL The above statement reflects the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job as identified and shall not be considered a detailed description of all work requirements that may be inherent in the job.
